A blue haired boy was violently slammed against a tree. He fell to his knees and began to cough, holding his chest tightly. He lifted his head up, looking at a man standing in front of him. The boy was caught by the throat, picked up and slammed against the tree once more, about a foot off the ground. Takeshi tried to look into the man’s hood; while his eyes filled with fear.
“Just like your brother Takeshi,” the man grinned, only seeing the bottom of his face from the shadows.
“My… brother…” Takeshi’s eyes went wide. The man tightened his grip around Takeshi’s neck, pulling a dagger out of a pouch on his belt. The scared boy noticed the weapon and began to squirm to get out of the hold, bringing up his hands and tightly grabbing onto the man’s hand trying to rip it off of him. The man jabbed his nails into Takeshi’s neck drawing blood, and restricting his movements. He stabbed Takeshi’s right arm and began to move it downward slowly. A sudden ninja star flew from the right, hitting the blade, knocking the dagger out of the man’s hand. The dagger sliced across the man’s arm as it fell towards the ground, causing him to loose his grip on Takeshi’s neck. Takeshi crawled away, far enough and stood up, noticing a figure in a near by tree. He jumped out of the tree, landing a few feet away from the tree, cockishly standing. He looked up at the man who was not far from him. The boy’s eyes were covered from his hair, and the shadows the trees were casting from the moonlight. The turned his head, looking over at Takeshi pathetically, the looked back at the man. Takeshi grabbed the dagger the boy had knocked out of the man’s hand, and stood up, rubbing his neck a bit. The boy slowly began to move closer, the man watching him closely. Takeshi ran from behind the man, stabbing the blade deeply in between his shoulder blades. The man turned to face him slowly, Takeshi ripping the blade out quickly. The man smirked at him evilly.
“Thanks… for your ice,” he said, the boy going to attack the man with a shruiken, the man grabbing the blade. Takeshi tightened his grip on the dagger, and attacked the man as well, the man blocking with a sword that was still inside its sheath. The boy turned, letting go of the shruiken and punched the man in the face. He ripped off the man’s hood, and jumped back a bit, pulling Takeshi’s collar to get him away. Takeshi looked up at the man blankly, memories speeding through his head.
“Please hide Takeshi!” Taisuke commanded, pushing Takeshi’s bloody arm. The eight year old Takeshi took his brother’s command and ran to hide under a bush. The man formed a wire out of wind, and pierced it through Taisuke’s chest.
‘Why wont I move… why can’t I speak…’ Takeshi thought, paralyzed with fear, tears filling his eyes, and he watched his brother slowly fall to the ground. The man knelt down, stabbing a dagger into Taisuke’s right arm where he had a tattoo of ice in kanji, trying to extract his ice from him. After some time, there was no noticeable reaction, not even when the man stuck the blade in himself.
“Bastard!” the man yelled, blocking another attack from the boy with his sword. Takeshi looked up watching the boy run at the man, stumble in the darkness, scratching the man’s arm while he staggered forward slightly. The man hit the boy in the back of the neck with the hilt of his sword, knocking him onto the ground. The man rammed his heel down violently in between the boy’s shoulder blades, holding him down. Takeshi gripped the handle of the bloody dagger in his hand, looking up to see the man pressing his sword against the back of the boy’s neck.
